Homesickness

I can't remember how many times Jessie told me about how much she miss all of us in Malaysia. After she migrated to Boston since last year August, we only manage to keep in touch via email and msn.

At the beginning, we meet each others online once a month. That's all because of her busy job at Boston. She did tell me that her new working environment is a challenging for her. That should be wonderful but recently she chats with me frequent because she worried about her father's health.

She never regret on spending the cost of shipment to boston moving company for moving her mother heritage, the antique furniture to Boston as she believe that the furniture set is having her mother soul. Her father falls sick for weeks. Even though her sister is taking care of him but Jessie feels regret as she is so far away from home....

Can you believe that what she is doing? She told me that she is praying every day. Praying in front of the antique furniture for her father's health! I ask her to buy an air ticket and fly back to home as soon as possible. This is better than worry over there without taking any action.

I can relate to homesickness, when I went to college for my first semester, I really missed my home, especially my family, and the great home cooked meals!

Naah..homesick is nonsense. It’s like longing to be back on deck of the Titanic once you’ve made it to the safety of terra firma after that disastrous icy night.
